Helpful hints for the amateur

When taking a photo make sure there are no lamp stands, plants or any other object in your view finder behind the subject. If you don’t make sure of this, it can look like a plant is growing out of their head.

When you are taking a photo do not take it into direct sunlight or it will come out
over exposed.

The best position to hold your camera is to stand straight with your feet apart, with elbows resting on chest. Relax and take your time for best results.

Another way to hold your camera steadily is to lean against a gate or wall where possible using your elbows for a tripod-like support.

If you own a camera with a filter attachment I would recommend buying a sky light filter to protect your lens from getting scratched as filters are cheaper than a new lens or camera.

If you are taking photographs from a stationary vehicle with the window down I would recommend that you place a small bean bag on the window sill and rest your camera on it. This will help you to hold your camera steady and protect it from damage.

If you're taking a photo by using the timer on your camera and you find it difficult to keep your camera level why not also try and use a small bean bag to keep it level.

When you bring film back with you from a holiday I recommend you wrap your film up in tinfoil as it will protect it from the x-ray machine and save your film from getting damaged so you can enjoy your photos.

If you want your child to have a natural smile when you're taking family photos why not blow a raspberry to make them laugh!

(For Ladies)
Ladies, would you like to look as sexy standing up as most of the international fashion models? Well, the following hints will certainly help... All you have to do is cross your legs and it makes you look sexier as you've got more depth of field to look at. Also wear stiletto's - it makes you look taller! And, finally if you would like to make your bust look larger simply wear a bra which is a size smaller than usual!
